5th Annual Capitol Ford Santa Fe International Half Marathon
& Let's Run
Where culture, community, and endurance meet.
Set in the heart of Santa Fe, New Mexico — the City Different, the 5th Annual Capitol Ford Santa Fe International Half Marathon invites runners to experience a race unlike any other. Taking place on September 20, 2026, this high-altitude road race blends athletic challenge with rich history, vibrant culture, and a welcoming community atmosphere.
Now in its fifth year, the event has become a trusted destination for runners seeking more than just miles. Participants will run through historic neighborhoods, scenic high-desert landscapes, and lively community spaces, all framed by views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
Designed for both seasoned athletes and first-time runners, race weekend offers multiple events — from the Half Marathon and 3-Amigos Relay to the 4K Run and Free Kids 1K Dash — making it a true celebration of movement for all ages and abilities.
Running at over 7,000 feet above sea level, the Santa Fe International Half Marathon presents a rewarding test of endurance that encourages preparation, respect for the environment, and a deep sense of accomplishment at the finish line.
Rooted in community and supported by local volunteers, partners, and sponsors, this race reflects the spirit of Northern New Mexico — where runners come together to challenge themselves, support one another, and celebrate the joy of running in a place unlike anywhere else.

Kids Indigo T-Shirt Workshop with Gasali Adeyemo
Dye, Dash, and Discover!
Who says race weekend is only for grown-ups? This September, we’re bringing a splash of global culture and high-energy fun to the Santa Fe Railyard. The Kid Indigo Active Workshop & 1K Dash is where heritage meets the finish line. From learning the ancient secrets of Yoruba indigo dyeing to sprinting through the Railyard Park, your kids will experience a weekend that celebrates both the "City Different" and the world beyond.
Location: Behind Warehouse 21, Santa Fe Railyard
Give your young athletes a piece of wearable art with deep cultural roots! In this hands-on workshop, master artist Gasali Adeyemo shares the traditional Adire (indigo dyeing) techniques of his Nigerian heritage. Children ages 3–14 will discover how to create intricate patterns using natural dyes, transforming a simple race shirt into a storytelling masterpiece.
This isn't just a craft—it's an educational experience where kids learn the history and significance of indigo in West African culture before wearing their creations in the race. All supplies are provided, and no experience is necessary. It’s messy, it’s magical, and it’s completely free!

Feel the rhythm of the race with live percussion groups providing the heartbeat for our runners and spectators.
Experience the breathtaking artistry and storytelling of local Pueblo hoop dancers, a beautiful tribute to the land we run upon.
After they’ve created their indigo masterpieces, it’s time to put them in motion! The Kids 1K Dash is a non-competitive, high-spirit run designed to celebrate health, fitness, and the joy of movement. Watch a sea of blue-dyed shirts take over the park in a vibrant display of community and culture.
