The safety and well-being of all participants, volunteers, and spectators are top priorities throughout the Capitol Ford Santa Fe International Half Marathon. Please review the following important information to ensure a safe and enjoyable race experience.
Medical & Public Safety Support:
Medical personnel and trained volunteers are stationed at all aid stations and at the finish line.
A Public Safety Team is positioned approximately every two miles along the course to provide monitoring and rapid response.
If you feel unwell or need assistance at any point, notify the nearest volunteer, aid station, or public safety official immediately.
If you are unable to finish the race, report to an aid station or inform a course official so staff can account for you.
Aid Stations
Aid stations are positioned at strategic intervals along the course and provide:
Water
Electrolyte beverages
Light nutrition at select stations
Hydrate responsibly and be mindful of other runners when approaching and leaving aid stations.
Course Safety & Lane Requirement
Runners must remain in the right lane throughout the designated section of the course.
Participants will follow the right lane all the way to the Santa Fe Railyard.
Follow all signage and instructions from course marshals and volunteers to ensure safe and smooth course flow.
Weather & Altitude
The race takes place in New Mexico during the third weekend of September, a time known for mild mornings and comfortable running conditions.

Participants are encouraged to:
Hydrate consistently before and during the race
Dress in light, moisture-wicking layers
Use sunscreen and sun protection
Adjust pacing expectations based on altitude
Monitor race communications for weather updates
Race officials continuously monitor conditions and implement safety protocols as needed.
