The Santa Fe International Half Marathon is more than just a race it is a “City Different” experience. From the rolling high-desert hills to the rhythmic beat of African drumming at the finish line, this event blends athletic challenge with a global celebration of culture.

Our guiding principle is to welcome all lives. Whether you are racing for a USATF-certified personal best or pushing a stroller through the Railyard with your family, you are part of our international community.

Race Day Highlights

Scenic & Historic: Run a point-to-point course starting on the Old Las Vegas Highway, winding through the historic Santa Fe Trail, and finishing in the heart of the Santa Fe Railyard.

Cultural Pulse: Run to the rhythm of live African drumming and witness the storytelling of Native New Mexican hoop dancers positioned along the route.

Choose Your Distance

Half Marathon: A challenging and exhilarating 13.1-mile USATF-certified race for all abilities.

3-Amigos Relay: A fun team event where three participants split the 13.1 miles to foster camaraderie.

4K Run: A manageable, timed distance designed for casual runners and local supporters.

Free Kids 1K Dash: A high-spirit run where kids sport their handmade indigo masterpieces from the T-Shirt Workshop.

The marathon weekend is a celebration of the human spirit, punctuated by the sounds and sights of our diverse community. Supported by the City of Santa Fe Arts & Culture department, families will be treated to:

 Feel the rhythm of the race with live percussion groups providing the heartbeat for our runners and spectators.

 Experience the breathtaking artistry and storytelling of local Pueblo hoop dancers, a beautiful tribute to the land we run upon.

After they’ve created their indigo masterpieces, it’s time to put them in motion! The Kids 1K Dash is a non-competitive, high-spirit run designed to celebrate health, fitness, and the joy of movement. Watch a sea of blue-dyed shirts take over the park in a vibrant display of community and culture.
