Attention, Marathoners!
To make your race day smooth and comfortable, please review these crucial details regarding the Gear Bag Drop at the start and retrieval at the finish.
PART 1: THE START LINE GEAR DROP
Safely Store Your Dry Post-Race Essentials
Your post-race recovery starts before the race. Make sure you have your dry clothes and comfort items waiting for you at the Railyard Park finish.
Important Procedures:
Use the Official Clear Bag: You must use the official, clear plastic gear bag you received at packet pickup. To ensure safety and efficiency, no other bags, backpacks, or suitcases will be accepted.
Label Properly:
Write your bib number large and clear in the designated box on the bag using a permanent marker.
Detach the specific adhesive gear tag from your bib and stick it securely to the bag handle or top seam.
Pack Light & Secure: Pack only loose, non-valuable items like a sweatshirt, change of clothes, fresh socks, and recovery sandals. Ensure the bag is securely tied shut and not overstuffed.
Drop-Off Logistics:
When: The Gear Bag Drop area is open from 5:30 AM to 7:00 AM on race morning.
Where: Look for the marked Gear Drop trucks or tents on 3rd Street, near the start line entrance area.
Organization: The drop-off is organized numerically. Deliver your bag to the specific station matching your bib number range (e.g., “Bibs 1–1000”).
Be On Time! The last bags must be loaded onto the trucks by 7:00 AM sharp. Do not wait until the last minute, as lines will be long.

PART 2: THE FINISH LINE AT RAILYARD PARK
Where and How to Retrieve Your Gear
After crossing the finish line, celebrating your achievement, and receiving your medal, follow these steps to claim your gear bag.
Retrieval Process:
Proceed to Retrieval Area: Follow the signage in the post-race finisher village at Railyard Park. The Gear Bag Retrieval area is typically located near the recovery food and festival stage.
Locate Your Bib Range: Find the specific tent or pickup station designated for your bib number range.
Show Your Bib: You must present your official race bib to the volunteer to claim your gear bag. The bib acts as your claim ticket; no exceptions will be made.
Confirm Your Bag: Verify the bib number on the bag before you leave the pickup area.
Important Post-Race Notes:
Cutoff Time: All bags must be retrieved from Railyard Park by 1:00 PM.
Unclaimed Bags: Any bags not picked up by the cutoff time will be moved to the Race Administration tent (check the Information Booth for location) for 30 minutes, then will be handled according to our Lost & Found policy.
Stay Warm: Be sure to collect and change into your dry clothes as soon as possible after finishing, as your body temperature will drop quickly once you stop running.
